This is beyond cheating or infidelity; he has made up his mind to keep this woman and is as if he is about pushing you out. In this part of the world it is more of men’s world. A man can keep as many concubines as possible.
Is your marriage at the verge of collapsing and a strange woman is taking your man away from you? He even claims the lady is pregnant and that either he is going to rent a different apartment for her so he can take her as his permanent mistress or second wife. You have tried your best and you are about throwing in the towel. Hay! There is a way out. I am going to use true life scenarios and situations from counseling events around the neighborhood.
Case Study 1
Margret loves her husband so much, there is never a day she doesn't receives gifts and treasure-able items. The beginning was very smooth not until after about 12 years of their union, the once lovely husband starts nagging and finding faults in all she does. Verbal abuses are the norms and misunderstanding becomes a daily routine. She came crying complain thinking of divorce. “This much for me to bear” she said my husband said a lady is pregnant for him and that he is going to marry her as a second wife, what do I do?” she asked.
My advice
First know that the devil is about to do something terrible and because of your children, forgive even if he has not apologized or he doesn't feel he has wronged you.
Then take you burden to your God in prayer. Pray against any strange woman stealing your man away from. Ask God to restore him and save him from untimely death-because most time the devil when he wants to end one’s destiny he brings in a strange personality.
Try as much as possible to make sure you are not hurt. Don’t quarrel or nag about it any more. Don’t even let it reflect in your actions or relationship with him.
Don’t try to refuse him sex or sexual pleasure. He may take that as more reasons to continue his misbehavior.
If you most talk to him or make reference to it let it be with calmness but be firm and make no trouble out of it. It may just be to point out the dangers of extra-marital affairs-such AIDS and other sexual transmitted diseases. The next case study may help you further.
Case Study 2
Regina saw some good numbers of condoms in her husband suite pocket while she was trying to do laundry. She arranged them back after washing only for the man to realize that his wife saw the condoms but she made no ado out of it. In another she called him back to have them and she added I know your are seeing someone else, it is against God and good morals but if you must go against God and his righteous ways don’t forget your wife still loves you and be careful AIDS kills and you have to bring it upon everyone in this house, the little child that sucks and maybe everyone else. My advice
She came with complains but we figured out what to do. Guess what, the result was repentance and rededication/reunion of the couple.
Case study 3
Angela took trouble to her husband’s mistress’s house, it was a public disgrace as both woman made a show of themselves. Angela gave her the beatings of her miserable life and was admitted. The result came she loss her 3 months pregnancy. Angela took mike her husband unaware since he taught she didn’t know about his extramarital affairs. But it is more shocking as mike threw Angela out of their matrimonial home. Not for long mike brought Cynthia. Some people can be desperate; yes Cynthia was one of such.
When Angela realized that nothing can be done by fighting and making troubles she resorts to litigation. At first she taught that will teach him a lesson since they where legally married. But it was only putting an end to the marriage. it was almost too late before she realized it.
My advice
At first she rejected my suggestion since it seems senseless and impracticable, but since she still loves her husband and she doesn’t want to lose her man, she yielded to the peace method. I asked to find a way and apologize after a strong session of effective prayer and fasting, pulling the scales off his eyes to see the danger of he is doing. Guess what, God came and it was resolved.
